
Born in Rome in 1982, he began studying classical piano at the age of 8 with an immediate approach to ensemble music, taking part in multiple bands. He graduated in theory and solfeggio with top marks at L’Aquila conservatory.
At the age of 20 he began a new musical journey by undertaking transverse flute studies with Alessandro Papotto, saxophonist and flautist of the Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. He ranges across various musical genres thanks to live and studio experiences, from funky to fusion, from blues to his great passion, 70s progressive rock in all its many nuances. This passion leads him to become a great researcher and scholar of the basic instruments of Progressive such as the MiniMoog, Rhodes, Meltron and Hammond, of which he follows continuous improvement courses. Performing on the most important stages in Rome for 20 years now.
In 2000 he joined the “Tartarughe Millenarie”, a funk-fusion band with friends Giovanni and Emanuele Barco. In 2008 he founded the Progressive Rock Band “Mù” together with his pianist and brother Alessandro Sorrenti, one of the very few tributes in Rome to Italian and English progressive rock which brought the entire Banco del Mutuo Soccorso album “Darwin” from 1973 to the stage, also collaborating with Rodolfo Maltese, historic BMS guitarist.
In 2015 he joined the Animals Pink Floyd, one of the most original tributes on the Roman scene and beyond, with the typical sounds of Pink Floyd from the 70s and beyond.
In 2016 he joined the CMF – Collettivo Miniera Fonica, a multifaceted music project created by Simone Virgili, known in a live performance of the Animals Pink Floyd, taking unreleased songs and the show ”Fermata Napoli Centrale” around Italy, paying homage to the saxophonist James Senese and his contribution to Napoli Centrale’s Progressive Rock. In 2016 he joined the Laviàntica Gruppo progressive anni 2000 as a solo flautist and hammond and miniog player, he will participate in the arrangements of their second album ”The experience” released in 2018.
Since 2013 he joined SEMIRAMIS as band member and performer, and later as author and composer of the music and lyrics of the album ”La Fine non esiste” released in February 2024.
